Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC)

Nonprofit development finance agency formed in 1980 and based in the Hauppauge Industrial Park. LIDC provides low-cost small business loans, free technical assistance, and seminars for businesses in Nassau and Suffolk counties. Its affiliate, the Long Island Small Business Assistance Corporation (LISBAC), offers microloans aimed at startups and at women-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned businesses.
