Intelligent Product Solutions is a product design and engineering firm at 700 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge. It was founded in 2008 by Mitch Maiman and Paul Severino, former executives of Symbol Technologies (now Zebra Technologies), to give clients a single source for taking products from concept to manufacturing. Forward Industries acquired IPS in 2018.
Its team of more than 75 designers and engineers covers systems architecture, industrial and UX/UI design, mechanical and electrical engineering, embedded systems and firmware, mobile and enterprise software, cloud and IoT development, and optical engineering. IPS works in medtech, wearables, industrial equipment, defense, and consumer products, including software for regulated medical devices.
Clients have included Google, Verizon, Zebra Technologies, and Steinway. IPS participates in the Zebra PartnerConnect program and has partnered with the Digital Medicine Society on hospital-at-home care.
