Applied Visions, Inc.

Applied Visions, Inc. is a custom software development company headquartered on Bayview Avenue in Northport. Frank J. Zinghini Jr. founded it in 1987, working out of a basement office after leading software development for the video products division of Chyron Corporation, the Long Island maker of television graphics equipment. Zinghini holds a master’s degree in computer science from Stony Brook University. The company designs and builds custom business applications, web and mobile apps, IoT systems, and user interfaces, and it handles UX/UI design, quality assurance, and cybersecurity work alongside development. Applied Visions is the parent company of Secure Decisions, which focuses on cybersecurity software, and it runs an Aerospace and Defense Group for government work. It also has offices in Clifton Park, New York, and Durham, North Carolina. With nearly four decades in the business, it fits companies that need software built around their own processes instead of an off-the-shelf product.
