The chevrons are locking into place, the wormhole is stabilizing, and we’re thrilled to announce something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for months: The Stargate Community – a dual-site fan network dedicated to celebrating and expanding the universe we all love.
Two Gates, One Mission
We’re launching not one, but two interconnected community sites:
🔧 stargate.diy – Where fans build the future This will be our maker space and creative hub. Think of it as the workshop where Sam Carter would tinker with alien tech, but for fans. We’re developing:
- Interactive project tutorials (build your own GDO, anyone?)
- Fan fiction writing workshops and collaboration tools
- 3D printing files for props and costumes
- Technical discussions about the science behind the fiction
- Community challenges and maker showcases
👥 stargate.team – Where teams assemble This is our community headquarters and mission control. Like the SGC briefing room, it’s where teams form and adventures begin:
- Character and team creation tools
- Episode discussion forums organized by series and season
- Fan theory databases and speculation central
- Community events and virtual mission briefings
- News updates and franchise discussions
Why Two Sites?
Just as the Stargate program expanded from Earth to Atlantis to the Destiny, we believe different aspects of fandom deserve their own specialized spaces. The DIY site celebrates the hands-on creators and builders, while the Team site focuses on community interaction and shared experiences. Together, they form our own little gate network.

Behind the Scenes
This project started when a few fans realized we wanted something more than just another forum. We wanted spaces that reflected the collaborative, exploratory spirit of the Stargate teams themselves. Places where Daniel’s curiosity, Sam’s technical brilliance, Teal’c’s wisdom, and Jack’s leadership could all find expression in our community.
We’re building these sites with the same attention to detail that the show’s creators brought to crafting consistent mythology and believable characters. Every feature is designed with fans in mind, created by fans who understand what makes this universe special.
The Road Ahead
This is just the beginning. Like any good Stargate mission, we’re heading into uncharted territory with determination and a great team. We’ll be sharing development updates, behind-the-scenes looks at our building process, and previews of upcoming features.
The gate is dialing. The wormhole is forming. And we can’t wait to explore what’s on the other side together.
